Dean produces electric and
acoustic guitar. The Dean Company is fairly new compared to other guitar
companies. In spite of that their acoustic guitars are extraordinary. A teenager
created the Dean Company. His name is Dean Zelinsky; his vision was to
manufacture guitars that sounded and looked unlike anything in the marketplace.
This approach to making guitars
is what made Dean acoustic guitars famous. Their uniquely shaped had to be
embraced by musicians before they caught on.
Thanks to dedicated group of guitar shops owners and musicians who believed in
Dean guitars, because of this guitarists began to discover Dean guitars, and
once they played them they became hooked on them. Many of the first guitarists
to play Dean guitars are still dedicated to them.
After manufacturing guitars for ten years Dean Zelinsky sold the business in the
1980’s and the rights to Dean guitars to a man by the name of Oscar Medeiros.
Oscar Medeiros sold the company in the 1990’s. Oscar Medeiros made a lot of
contributions to Dean guitars while it was under his ownership.
The new owners of the Dean guitar
company Armadillo Enterprises ultimately get in touch with Dean Zelinsky to once
more work for the company. To this day Dean Zelinsky works for the Dean guitar
company as an executive and creative assistant. Fans of Dean guitars are glad
that Dean Zelinsky returned to the company.
The Dean acoustic guitar line includes both conventional and distinctive
designs. They offer a v-shaped guitar by the name of the V Coustic. The V
Coustic guitar comes in a traditional design and cutaway design. Other styles in
their acoustic guitar line include Exoticwood, The Artist, Evocouostic,
Exoticglass, Espana, Tradition, Gypsy, and Schenker models.
Some famous guitarist that play
Dean guitars include: Randy Rhoads, John McAffee, Sammy Hagar, Dimebag Darryl,
ZZ Top, John Karl, Daryle Singletary, C. Wayne, and Michael Schenker. Michael
Schenker has his own line Dean guitars.
