If you were looking to
purchase an inexpensive acoustic guitar then I would recommend an Epiphone, in
particular the Hummingbird model. You can purchase an Epiphone Hummingbird model
for under $300. The Epiphone Hummingbird offers great value when compared to
other acoustic guitars in a similar price range like the Seagull S6.
The Epiphone Hummingbird acoustic
guitar is actually $80 cheaper than the highly touted Seagull S6, but for some
reason does not get the same praise. The Epiphone Hummingbird is a great looking
acoustic guitar and I can assure you that it is a quality guitar.
Of all the less expensive versions of Gibson's Hummingbird acoustic guitar the
Epiphone is the best of the bunch. When you take the difference in price between
the Gibson's Hummingbird and the Epiphone Hummingbird it is amazing just how
much they are similar to one another. For the price the Epiphone Hummingbird has
a great tone.
The neck size is great for
beginners it is very slim, comfortable, and the playing action is excellent.
These are qualities that you would normally find only on more expensive acoustic
guitars.
The Epiphone Hummingbird is
suitable for all styles of music, including blues, jazz, rock, and any thing
else, which is great if you like to play just about every thing you hear.
