Out of the Gibson
acoustic guitars my favorite is the Hummingbird, and is one of the most
cherished Gibson acoustic guitars by many guitarist.
The Gibson Hummingbird is made in Nashville, Tennessee. The Gibson acoustic
Hummingbird model is manufactured in a similar way as their other acoustic
guitars.
Gibson begins by choosing only the finest wood. Gibson uses machines to put the
front and backs together. Many people are surprised to learn that Gibson uses
machines to assemble their guitars, but Gibson has been manufacturing acoustic
guitars this way for the past hundred years, including the Hummingbird acoustic
model
The neck on Hummingbird guitar and many others are made up of three different
sections. The pieces of wood are laminated and cut. The wing blocks are added to
the Gibson Hummingbird and the fretboards are put together. The majority of
fretboards on Gibson acoustic guitars are made out of ebony or rosewood. Every
Gibson acoustic guitar including the Hummingbird is hand-fretted.
Thousands of guitarists have
played the Gibson Hummingbird acoustic guitar since they began producing them.
