Having
studied commercial art in college, it took me until my children were in
school all day to pursue my greatest desire...to paint in water color. I
have won several national awards. Any subject that challenges my ability
is the next subject that I paint ...hence my repertoire is vast. From
floral, crystal, lace, still life, landscapes, animals and vacation spots.
Painting is an escape and a pleasure for me. Please visit my site by
clicking on my painting. Watercolor is my greatest pleasure. I hope
to make the viewing of it yours.
I have been a photographer for 25 years and have been transitioning into digital photography and digital image manipulation during the past four years. My digital pieces are created using layers and combinations of original and sometimes highly unusual photographs I've taken. The photos are enhanced and manipulated with Adobe Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro (to name a few of the many programs I use). Many of my pieces have a very unique and distinct surreal flavor. I am influenced by the works of
Dali, Kahlo, Pollock, Escher and Picasso (to name a few). I feel my unique style comes from the inner depths of my being, one that evolves out of self exploration, altered perceptions, and investigations of alternate planes of reality. Some of my works are presently on display at:

My experiences as a psychologist, and my many travels, have given me a window into the complexities, depth and uniqueness of individuals and a glimpse into the transcendent meaning beyond the simple facts of existence. In my art I have tried to integrate my perceptions, ideas and feelings for the human condition with my appreciation for the beauty and wonders of the world. Art has allowed me the opportunity to express and share my personal vision of the world in a way this, to me, is both esthetically beautiful and personally meaningful |
