Jayne M. Morgan

Web Site   U S A

George Bernard Shaw said,"You use a mirror of glass to see yourself, you use works of art to see your soul."
Jayane is a native of Coral Gables, Florida. Art became a part of her life at a young age, due to her mother's influence and inspiration. She began her formal education at Miami Dade College in art and design. Unable to fulfill a dream to continue at Fashion Institude of Techology in New York, she put aside her art studies but continued to paint.
When she relocated to Rainbow Springs, Florida, art became her reality. Jayne began a transition from oil to watercolor at Florida Community College, after which she studied for twelve years under noted artist Eloise Gardiner Giles.

"Watercolor is an exciting experience, because of the fluidity, translucency and freshness. I am continually inspired by the challenges inherent in this mediim. The subjects I return to most often are the Florida landscape , wildlife, and floral. Also, I enjoy the diversion to abstract which gives me greater freedom of expression and fun." For the past several years, she has established herself as a recognized watercolorist in North Central Florida. Her works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions including, but not limited to Homosassa State Park, Keyhole Gallery, Cedar Key; The Shoppe Art Gallery, Crystal River; Mclean Folk Art Festival, Eastern Shores Art Gallery, Fairhope, Alabama, Nuance Gallery, Tampa, Florida. She also participated in the IHMRS New York, NY and Art Expo 2007, New York, NY. She has been a member of Citrus Watercolor Socity, Eastern Shores Art Association, Fairhope, Alabama. She is a member of Art Faces Art Places, Modern Day Masters, Art-Exchange and has her own personal web site Jayne Morgan Art.  Jayne's awards include Best of Show and First Place. Her works are in private collections in the United States, France and Wales.
