Danny is an award-winning artist with many awards and first place ribbons to testify to his love of art. He lives in a small community nestled in the middle of all his inspirations. Living in a small town, out on the prairies in Canada, you have all the inspiration you need just by watching nature colour the seasons. He paints in watercolour but would like to get into acrylics. He is self-taught with no formal education in the arts. He is well known for his winter and train scenes. All paintings are original at this time as he does not do prints but hopes to get into this shortly. He also is well known in the community for his generosity in donating his art work to help non-profit organizations. He can spend a day working on the details of one feather ( Predator) or he can do a painting like Tree Line the same day. He received the prestigious Eillen Korponay award for the most transparent watercolour among several others. He has been painting for approximately 4 years. Although born and raised on a small farm on the edge of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, my roots (if a Smith can have roots) are deep in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
