Kathy Robinson: Designer Jewelry

As a child, Kathy was taught to draw by her father and was later introduced to fine art while living in Spain and traveling in Italy and France. Rich paintings in churches and museums along with the beauty of sculpture made a lasting impression. As an adult, Kathys interest in archeology led to travel in Egypt, Greece, Israel and Turkey. The people and cultures of foreign lands, along with a love of ancient jewelry coalesced when Kathy discovered the world of gemstones.

I believe that every woman is unique and beautiful. I create jewelry to enhance this beauty. The colors, textures and shapes of the gemstones inspire each design.

Brenda New: Designer Jewelry

I am a self-taught jewelry designer who found her passion in this art form five years ago after stumbling into a bead shop while visiting St. Louis. My life hasn't been the same since that time. What started out as a hobby, quickly grew into a business. It seemed that everywhere I went, people wanted to buy the jewelry that I was wearing!

Since that time I have sold my jewelry in high-end boutiques, gift shops, hotels, art shows, individual shows, an art gallery, and online from my previous website, UptownJewelry.com. Most evenings, and in much of my spare time, you will find me either in my jewelry studio, online working on this website, or looking for interesting beads to buy!

As a life-long creator and crafter since age 12, my initial craft involved a love of fabric and included all kinds of needlework and sewing. By the 9th grade, I was sewing many of my own clothes! My other hobbies have included creating recipes and decorating.

What makes the jewelry on this website different from the rest? Many of my jewelry items are inspired by apparel that I have either purchased or noticed in a store or boutique. This jewelry is designed to be unique but also versatile and practical so that it can be worn while kicking around on your day off, while on a business trip, or while out for an evening on the town.

Also, this jewelry is custom made to order. I believe it is important that your jewelry is sized to fit you, so I offer a wide range of sizes custom made for you, including plus sizes.

Additionally, much of this jewelry can be purchased in sets, so you won't have to buy a necklace and then have to search elsewhere for earrings to match. This website makes it easy for you to shop for your jewelry needs.

Finally, you have my assurance that I only use quality components in my jewelry designs. I explain in detail what each design is made of in my jewelry descriptions, so you do not have to guess what it is made of.

Janet Bocciardi: Designer Jewelry

Honey from the Bee is me, Janet Bocciardi. Creating art has always been the way I've stayed in touch with who I am. When someone sees something I've made and must make it their own, it completes the creation and starts a new chapter with the new owner.

I love creating something beautiful and interesting that strikes up a conversation - it awakens memories and brings out the unique beauty in each one of us.

I've been fortunate to live in rural areas on both coasts of the U.S. and see natural and man-made wonders throughout the world. Although I enjoy the beach - it's tide-pooling and finding flotsam that's my joy rather than catching rays.

My processes are broad, but you'll see color, texture, nature and historical influences in all of my pieces and a story that wanted to be told.

Whitney Anderson:
Designer Jewelry

Whitney Anderson took a shine to designing jewelry when she was introduced to the rare art of creating pieces of jewelry from hand twisted wire. But she has always exhibited her own unique style and was drawn to fashion at a very young age. Whitney moved to New York City to pursue her interest in the fashion industry and earned her degree in Fashion Merchandising from The Fashion Institute of Technology in 1993.

After exploring the fashion industry in New York, Whitney turned her focus to jewelry. Returning to her hometown in Pennsylvania and with the support of her husband, JT, and her son, Jake, she ventured into uncharted territory and created a line of earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings and other novelties. In 1998, wired, a unique jewelry experience was created. Having enjoyed continued success at arts festivals, wired is now being brought to you through this online boutique for convenient shopping.

The concept of wired designs is distinctive by virtue of the hands-on technique used in making each piece. All designs are made in sterling silver and each link is carefully hand turned to create a specific style. All wire used is of the highest quality to ensure superior strength and durability beyond that of conventional silver chain. This same material is also used in all of the blackened designs in which the sterling silver has been oxidized to give the piece it's unique patina. Semi-precious stones and other materials are used to accent an assortment of styles. Whitney enjoys creating each handmade designs, turning the wire herself and choosing materials that complement each piece.
