Dawn:
I am ashamed to admit that I am not familiar with "Encaustic". The URL for my website is http://www.lankeitoriginals.com It would be a pleasant surprise to find that my paintings are among this interior designer's desires. Thank you for this query ... it is further evidence of the "real" benefits of being associated with ARTSPACE 2000. Your progress as an organization is definitely the result of dedicated intentions to be of service to your members.

Just thought I would send you a line to let you know a few little changes coming to my web site. My Son will be changing my Signature page to "Outer Reflections", new logo, adding on new paintings, changing the format as well as adding on a friends business of Esthetics to the same site. Quite a challenge collaborating the two onto one site but so far it looks great. This is in the works at this moment and could possibly be set up in one or two months. At this time my site is found at www.artsofwork.com I've recently sold a "realist" family portrait to a wealthy fellow as well as painting numerous portraits for various individuals. So far "Artspace" has pulled in many interested Folks to my site with great success thanks to you!!......Well there's a little of bragging for yah hahaha Artist hey ;)........Hope you are staying well and cool from this VERY HOT Summer. Yes lots of fires here in BC, NOT GOOD!

Take care and wishing you my very best.

I was approached by yet another of those art sites wanting you to enlist their help in getting you coverage on the internet...for a fee of course! I checked this one out and found it to be quite a classy site with some very good artists. Your spot consisted of one of your pieces of artwork and a write-up of your choosing with a link to your own web site(s). It turned out that you had to be juried before they would accept you but this was good as it suggested a certain standard of quality. I especially liked their black backgrounds (impact) and short pages (no endless scrolling), easy, clean set-up and of course the flags!. The fee of $50.00 US seemed a bit steep but I was new at this and willing to give it a go.

Now it gets exciting!! 5:15 am lying in bed on a Friday morning one week later and the phone rings. Its a customer (yeah), obviously from a different time zone (or possibly planet) than I am as she is fresh as a daisy while I still have only one eye open and have not yet figured out who I am let alone what zone I am in. "Hullo??"

She simply stated with no preliminaries that she wanted to purchase two of my paintings and proceeded to list them off. This got my attention rather quickly and I graciously asked her to hold while I groped for my other pair of eyes while slipping in my teeth.

Things got immediately down to business and I was instantly disappointed to learn that one of the paintings she wanted was "The Omelet" which sold at our Kariton show (always keep your web site updated). This did not discourage her greatly though, as she and her husband had alternates in mind and still ended up ordering two with a firm promise on my behalf to send them immediate notice of any future similar works. Well what the heck, I had one sitting on my easel and the next day I thought I might as well post it to the net and let her know....its worth a try right? I will now be shipping off all three paintings once I have this new one framed!! This cou-ple spent over $2,400.00 Can without ever seeing the original work....not something that I would do but never look a gift horse......etc!!

The ensuing phone calls and emails established that these people in White Plains, New York had discovered me on this Artspace 2000 web site and one does not have to do the math to figure out that one call made it a very worthwhile investment. They felt that the high quality of the work as a whole led them to really take a good look at the artists featured within it. So... if you are interested, the web address is www.artspace2000.com

Hi Pat,

I plan on adding some new things to my site, have been doing a few portrait commissions locally and will be starting a mural in our local town hall in the next several weeks. Thanks for representing me, I did get some offers from a rep, but felt I wasn't a good fit for what he had. He did, however, see me on your site, so I am happy about that.
Thanks again! Holly Garver

This is a fantastic website, with great artists. Since joining your site I am no longer spending all of my time trying to get to the top in search engines. Now I can spend more time on my art. Thanks!

Hip! Hip! Hurray!

Congratulations on your hard work and your growth! Doubling the hits to my site is such a nice problem to have! I am delighted for us all and grateful to you for all your efforts at promoting us!

Hi There;
Sure enough, I'm at an average of at least 30 hits a day to Sweeneysmen.com. Considering I often had only one hit a day when I was advertising in "trade" magazines, I'm very pleased indeed. I'm trying to make time to draft an article. There's always a figure to paint, if only for my own collection. My sense is that your website will help artists like me make a living off of a passion in the long run. Thank you for such a  vehicle.
Sincerely,
Mark Sweeney.

Lenni Hirsh received an email from asking her what she thought of Artspace2000 by a complete stranger and Here is her reply to them.

My LONG reply: by Lenniw Hirsh
Dear Olga

Actually it is the only site that I can definitely recommend and definitely know I have had contact and even sales from viewers. I also did a website for one of the art associations in which I am very active (New Rochelle Art Association) and Pat put it up in the organizations link. That night I  received an e-mail from an artist in Greenwich Connecticut...not far - and  she juried in and joined the association that month. Someone is definitely looking at Artspace 2000.

Pat has done a great job with the site. Lots of interesting information about materials to use, how to take slides etc. I was one of the original  members (at her invitation) and instinctively knew it was special because it  was one of the 1st to attract international artists. There are many similar  websites now but I am not surprised that (in Yahoo's listings) it gets more  hits than most including 'professional galleries'.

Do be wary of internet sites who scan for artists to 'join' at great cost  (Worlds' Best Artists - $400 plus yearly maintenance). My question  remains...'if you found my website why do I need to pay you to put 4 or 5 paintings on your site and link back to me?'. They all claim to have clients  who go directly to them. Yeah!!!! Artspace 2000 has been the exception  probably because it does have great and varied art and Pat is not selling your art or making any claims. She has however forwarded special requests she  receives if she thinks my art (any of the artist's work) fits the request.

The more free sites you are on or can link with the better for you. Pat is not literally selling your work, but she is providing a service by making her web site popular and appealing and the cost is reasonable. It is the only site I consider (to date) worth the money.

Thanks for the praise about  my work
Lenni

These are banners 3ft wide by 12 ft tall and 4 ft wide by 16 ft tall, painted front and back. Thanks guys
