2006 OUTSTANDING STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT IN CONTEMPORARY SCULPTURE AWARDS, 2006 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Awards. Each year the International Sculpture Center presents an award competition to its member colleges and universities as a means of supporting, encouraging, and recognizing the work of young sculptors and their supporting school’s faculty and art program. Universities must be current members. Professors are invited to nominate up to 3 of their outstanding undergraduate or graduate students to submit digital images to be juried by a panel of art professionals. The award winners participate in a 3-month exhibition at Grounds for Sculpture. Their work is included in the accompanying exhibition catalogue, and is also featured in Sculpture magazine. The winners also receive a one-year membership in ISC and are eligible to apply for a sponsored international residency. University Membership costs $170 for national universities and $190 for international universities and includes a number of benefits including the eligibility to nominate 3 students for the Outstanding Student Sculpture Award.
