Landing the Assignment
check the listings in the directory section to see how the
art director prefers to be approached and what type of samples t send. Disk and
email submissions are encouraged by many of these listings . Check to see what
type of music they produce. Assemble a portfolio of your best work in case
an art director wants to see more of your work.
Be sure your portfolio includes quality s samples. It doesn't matter if the work is of a different genre - quality is key. If you don't have any experience in the industry create your CD package, featuring one of your favorite recording artist or groups.
Send a cover letter with samples
asking for a portfolio review. If you are not contacted within a couple of
months send a follow - up email or sample to the art director.
