Marlene McChesney, a member of Cowboy Photographers and Artists International, was raised on a third generation family farm in West Central Illinois near the town of Gladstone, population 350. Marlene acquired an appreciation for good livestock almost by osmosis, as her eye for quality was passed from her Grandfather, to her Father and now resides within Marlene. As a teenager Marlene worked beside her father whenever horses were required to work cattle. Marlene raised her daughter on the family farm as well and, in time, established her own herd of foundation quarter horse mares. Today, Marlene is Herdsman
for the family's custom calving operation. Her proximity to the
tension-filled, relationship between cows, calves and horses sparked her
interest in capturing it on film. Marlene's work style is one of perpetual
motion, which is why most of Marlene's photographs were taken on the back
of her horse.
I have been involved with nature photography for over 45 years. For 30 years, I sold prints at arts and craft shows, and also at
galleries. I have won a number of prizes and awards, and my work has appeared in books, magazines and on my website. Gary Mercer is a Miami
based photographer who produces fine art photographs. His photographs are
unique and timeless whether still life, floral or landscape photography.
Currently his work is on display in three miami galleries. Gary is known
for his extreme attention to detail and creativity and quality of his
artwork. His signature series photographs are under laminated plexiglass,
a process that entails multiple attempts to produce just one perfect
artwork. As a result of his insistence on quality materials and work his
original art is now being sold in the secondary art market in the South
Florida area. His photography is on public display at Mt. Sinai Hospital
and the Savoy hotel and has been sold internationally to collectors in the
Americas and Europe.
