called "The Lady Tennant"; it sold for $2.03 million. "The Lady
Tennant," Stradivarius violin was constructed in 1699. The first owner of
the violin was Charles Philippe Lafont who purchased the violin in 1900 for his
wife, Marguerite Miles, an amateur violinist. It was sold by Christie's New York
in April 2005.

Stratocaster nicknamed "Blackie". Eric Clapton's Fender Stratocaster,
"Blackie", sold for $959,500 at the Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar
Auction held by Christie's, making it the most expensive electric guitar ever to
have been sold at an auction. Stevie Ray Vaughan's Fender Stratocaster Electic
Guitar, "Lenny" is the second highest priced electric guitar ever sold
at an auction. It sold for $623,500. A world record was set for the sale of a
Gibson electric guitar, when Eric Clapton's 1964 red Gibson ES-335 electric
guitar sold for $847,500.
