Did you know that according to Forbes the most expensive musical instrument that has ever been sold at an auction was a Stradivarius violin called "The Lady Tennant"; it sold for $2.03 million. "The Lady Tennant," Stradivarius violin was constructed in 1699. The first owner of the violin was Charles Philippe Lafont who purchased the violin in 1900 for his wife, Marguerite Miles, an amateur violinist. It was sold by Christie's New York in April 2005.
