Ibanez
guitars are manufactured in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan, and come in many unique
designs. Ibanez signature guitars include Joe
Satriani, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, Mick Thomson, Noodles, Munky, Herman Li,
Sam Totman, Omar Rodriguez, Matt Bachand, H.
R. Giger, George Benson, Pat Metheny, and John Scofield. Steve Vai created
two Ibanez models himself.
Ibanez offers a couple low-end models that are great for beginners like the
Ibanez Gio. The Ibanez GIO is the budget priced guitar
that is good for those with little money, or perhaps a student, or maybe
just someone wanting to fool around with a guitar. The
GIO'S are copies of their more expensive Ibanez guitars RG, RX, SA, SZ, and
AX.
The RG series a middle class guitar. The RG series are great second guitars.
They might even be the right guitars for someone
who knows they will be dedicated to playing guitar. A step up from the RG
series is the Ibanez S Series. Ibanez S Series Guitars are well known for
their mahogany
lightweight and ergonomic design. The S series features an amazingly thin
body, which is 3/4 in. to 1 in. thick. They usually come with a Zero
Resistance Tremolo and a
Wizard II neck. The RG Prestige Ibanez guitars are for the serious guitar
players. The Prestige series guitars usually come with an Edge Pro Tremolo,
Prestige neck, and
the famous "Prestige" logo on the headstock. The only higher
quality guitars by Ibanez are either custom made guitars, signature model
guitars, and limited editions
guitars.
