You
probably already have a guitar, and now you are looking for an amplifier. You
need a good quality guitar amplifier, because no matter how expensive your
guitar is it will never sound as good as it can without a quality guitar
amplifier. There are basically four choices when looking to buy a guitar
amplifier for your guitar they included solid-state amps, tube amps, hybrid
amps, and digital amplifier. The first guitar amplifiers were tube amps. Tube
amps have rich, fat tone. Newer amps often try to imitate the sound of a tube
amplifier, but they're hardly ever successful. Tube amps initially lacked
power, and they're more fragile. Tube amps break down more and need more
repairs. Solid-state guitar amplifiers were the first to replace the original
tube amplifiers. Mainly musicians felt that solid-state amplifiers were a step
up from tube amps. Solid-state guitar amplifiers have more range and can
generate more power. Digital guitar amplifiers rely on digital signals and are
designed to create the sound of classic amplifiers. They offer a broader range
of effects and sounds. Hybrid guitar amps are a mixture of solid-state
amplifiers and tube amplifiers. Hybrid guitar amps are not thought of as
having a great sound quality as far as sounding like a tube amplifier,
although they come close.
